The Explorer

Born in Santo Tirso, Davide Henrique Fernandes da Costa is only 21 years old — 90 on the planet mercury, which may explain his extremely responsible personality. The young guy is attending the Integrated Master in Informatics and Computing Engineering (MIEIC).

Background

Passionate about programming and series, Davide was once the monitor of his younger colleagues at FEUP - Faculdade de Engenharia da Universidade do Porto. Affinity with computers has always been present in his life, however, it was at university that he saw this desire evolves into something more concrete, a project of life.

Aboard Starlight Software

Davide runs the first Mission Creativity of our company, being in charge of Fixe — a project on developing for Invisible Cloud. In such a young team, he is the "sense of responsibility" to keep everything in order.

Our team leader states that his technical skills are important to the job, but he emphasizes communication and management as essential skills to keep everything flowing. A #StayHumble profile, Davide says "But I know I still have a lot to learn."

To the future

Davide already has his plans written in the stars: he wants to work with computer science and programming linked to automobiles. But right after completing his masters, he will focus more to the personal life. And then? Let the PhD comes!

To his 10-year-old self, Davide would advise balancing effort and fun. And for the colleagues in the area, our team leader leaves these words:

"Take advantage of these last skills that the college is transmitting to you, a last effort towards success (hopefully)".
