The Explorer
Born in Porto, Luís Miguel Santos Monteiro Saraiva is 22 years old (we did the math and he would be 93 in planet Mercury). He is currently a student of the Integrated Master in Informatics and Computing Engineering (MIEIC).
Background
Luís has developed software projects for JuniFEUP, the Junior Company of the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto. Committed to society, he also participated as a volunteer in the Missão País, helping communities in Portugal.
Aboard Starlight Software
As CTO, Luís is the commander of the Technology Department, where he is responsible for coordinating the teams, thus creating conditions for the smooth running of the work. Onboard the Mission Opportunity, he contributes to the client's project as a developer.
The experience gained at JuniFEUP, as well as in academic studies, makes it possible to help co-workers to choose the best technologies to be used.
To the future
Luís reminds us that life is not all about studying and working. One of his great projects is to build a family and have children happy with their lives. He has plans to establish a business in the area of informatics, but at the moment his priority is the success of Starlight Software.
To the students who are moving towards the professional market, Luís leaves the following message:
"(...) I tell them to engage in professional, voluntary or extracurricular activities, because through them they can develop personal skills that are highly valued in companies."
